Meet The Team
My name is Elisha and I am the Owner and Founder of Just Married! I am a newly wed, a new mom and an avid snacker. I was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska. I went to college in North Platte where I played basketball. After that I came home and started working in retail. I ended up being a store manager and worked retail for the past 6 years. So how did I end up in the business of weddings you might ask? Well after my husband proposed to me I started planning right away. At first it was so fun and exciting. Then shortly after it became so expensive, so stressful and so not fun. I decided I didn't want the traditional wedding anymore. I decided I would do a destination wedding. That helped me cut down on my expenses but I still had a lot of things to consider and a lot of people to consider. So I found myself still stressed and still not having fun. So at this point I was just ready to be married and go to the courthouse. I figured it would save me so much money & take away my stress, but it still wasn't fun to me. So I finally figured it out! I thought about what was important to me, and we decided to elope! Now when you hear elope, you may think of running away and getting hitched in front of some smelly face Elvis in Las Vegas. But that was not the case, nor was that my style. We eloped at a park, the weather was perfect and it was right in the middle of fall. I had a beautiful bouquet, the perfect elopement dress, my husband and an officiant there to marry us. We had a professional photographer as well and he was able to capture some candid photos with some beautiful fall scenery. It did not take long, it was intimate and just us two. It was very special and I was so pleased with that experience and glad we were able to capture that moment. I have no regrets. I believe getting married is a beautiful and exciting thing! I think that we can easily lose sight of what is important when planning. I say get rid of family demands, get rid of added stress, get rid of the strain on your wallet, forget about the expectations that others have on you and say yes to your love story and elope with Just Married.
